The SkeinTwister has made finishing skeins far more efficient. It only takes about 15 seconds to twist a 4 oz skein with the SkeinTwister - less than half the time required to twist manually. Plus, the skeins are much more even in appearance and take up less space in my shipping boxes, because the SkeinTwister is able to put more twist into each skein. Each skein turns out so prettily!
It can be somewhat daunting to use at first because the SkeinTwister can put so much twist into each skein in very little time. Plan to spend about an hour finding your perfect twist setting and learning the motions to tuck the ends in, and you'll ready to go. The SkeinTwister is easy and fun to use. I've successfully taught three of my children (ages 11-13) to use it. The pirate graphic and twirling hook was fascinating to them, and now they can twist skeins just as well as I can. Besides the extreme speed increase, the SkeinTwister removes a huge amount of repetitive strain and stress from my hands and wrists. Gearing up for shows and large wholesale orders was literally a pain - twisting hundreds of skeins was very tiring. The SkeinTwister is a huge improvement over manual twisting.

The SkeinTwister has greatly improved our productivity and consistency, all while keeping our precious hands and wrists in good working health. The amount of time it takes to twist yarn has seriously decreased for us since this product came into our lives. Not only that, our skeins have never looked better!

At first I wasn’t sure how much I would need the SkeinTwister and now I can’t imagine not having it! Not only has it cut down on the time I spend twisting skeins, but it’s also allowed me to train other people on how to twist them as well. Mini skeins? I love mini skeins, but I hate twisting the freaking things! This is where the SkeinTwister is a total superstar in my studio. It's intuitive, quick, and consistent. It's one of the best tools that I didn't even know I needed until it existed. Thanks Carrie!

The SkeinTwister has been a wonderful investment and probably my most favorite tool. Twisting and labeling has been quicker and easier since we started using it. Skeins looks neater and are visually more uniform and consistent. I was having some wrist pain due to the repetitive motion of twisting skeins myself, but I have zero pain when I use the SkeinTwister. You have no idea how grateful I am this tool exists. Thank you!

For the 7 years I've been running my business, I've been dreaming of The Skein Twister. And now it's a reality! It has made twisting skeins faster, and I can do it for longer because it's less physically demanding. We've used it for mini-skeins, 50g skeins, and 100g skeins, and all different fibers blends and it works great. It's also easy to train new operators and produces a consistent product. This thing has been a godsend!

Having a SkeinTwister has allowed me to hire and train someone to rewind yarn. Oddly enough, twisting skeins is not an easy skill to teach and/or learn. Having a tool the we can use to replicate an ideally twisted skein every single time means I don't have to agonize over training someone to do it correctly.
I use the SkeinTwister everyday, and I'm faster using the machine vs me doing it by hand. The economy of motion is ideal for saving my hands and joints, along with kicking manufacturing up a notch. I am so grateful Carrie has invested the time, energy, and brain power into tools that are necessary to make my business run more efficiently!
