Lookin' for fun and feelin' groovy!

I know, everyone thinks mohair is scratchy. And they're right in one respect - adult mohair can be very...rustic. But this yarn is made from 30% yearling mohair, which is from goats between 1 and 2 years old. They haven't had time to get gnarly yet. This mohair is soft, and has a subtle lustrous quality that makes this yarn just glow.

The base for this yarn is made by Green Mountain Spinnery, a mill in Putney, Vermont. The company is an employee-owned cooperative that is commited to sustaining regional sheep farming and environmentally friendly milling practices. They also do not practice carbonization, so you may find the occasional piece of clean grass or hay in the yarn.
